Challenges

Why have we formed?
The Southern Sudan has been wrecked by two decades of civil war between the Muslim North, and the Christian South. Two million people reported to have died from war induced diseases, famine and starvation. Another four million people had been displaced internally. The war had immeasurable impact on the land as a result of mass destruction of general infrastructure. Therefore, the Young Shepherds strives to participate in the reconstruction/construction and economic developmental programs in the war-ravaged region of Southern Sudan to improve the living conditions to the poor community in Southern Sudan.

Challenges

Without capital fund for the implementation of the organization’s programs both in U.S. as well as in South Sudan- Africa,
Lack of  funding impedes employment of permanent Staff both in the U.S. and in Africa,
Lack of Mobility to facilitate easy field trips for monitoring of the projects on the ground,
There are many other challenges that affect the  organization from gaining momentum.
